Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's trial has been moved forward, and is now set to begin this Friday in the Jerusalem District Court. The court changed the opening date for the trial following a request from Olmert's lawyers, who had previously asked to delay the trial.

Olmert will be tried for allegedly double-billing for trips, and using the money he took to fund private travel. He will also be tried for allegedly receiving illegal cash donations, and for allegedly acting to promote a friend's interests during his term as Minister of Industry and Trade.
