Prosecutors Not Against Delay in Olmert Trial

The State Prosecutor's Office announced on Thursday that it does not object to the request made Wednesday by attorneys for former prime minister Ehud Olmert to delay his trial on corruption charges.

The prosecution is opposed to a defense request that the opening session of the trial consist of arrangements for providing Olmert's legal team with material from the police investigation. The standard opening session consists of a reading of the charges against the accused.
