Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu related to the U.N. commissioned Goldstone Report which accused Israel of “war crimes” during its Cast Lead Operation in Gaza. He said Wednesday, “The Goldstone Report is a kangaro court in which its results were written in advance. This is a prize for terror. The report makes it difficult for democracies to fight terror.”
Judge Richard Goldstone told the media that his conclusions were based on independent reports and that he regrets that the Israeli government didn’t participate in the investigation. He also felt confident that Israel could conduct its own investigation which the International Court would accept.
