The report of the Goldstone Committee investigating Operation Cast Lead was presented to the United Nations Tuesday morning in New York, and it castigates Israel for its conduct during the war. According to the report, Israel conducted numerous "war crimes" against Gazans, including targeting civilians. The committee said it would send its findings to the International Court in the Hague for further action.
The Foreign Ministry dismissed the report, saying that "the report's conclusions were expected, as they were based on the input and testimony of such beacons of democracy like Pakistan Malaysia, Syria, and Yemen."
