Jerusalem District Court Judge Moshe Ravid issued a decision on Sunday that the Adult Probation Services examine the possibility that the woman from the Mea She'arm neighborhood of the capital accused of starving her son be removed from her house with a chance to pay supervised visits to her other children or that she continue her house arrest under the supervision of a professional nurse. Judge Ravid ordered that the Probation Department report be ready by September 23 for a hearing on September 24.

The ruling was the result of an opinion rendered by Welfare Department investigators that the defendant poses a risk to the other children and that during questioning of the other children on that count, their answers were affected by the presence of other people within the hareidi community.
