Russia has issued a formal denial that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met Monday with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. Early Wednesday a Jerusalem source said Netanyahu had been in the Russian capital on Monday to discuss that country's arms deals with Syria and Iran.
Spokesman Dimitri Peskov told Radio Moscow on Wednesday that Putin was "busy that day following his pre-prepared schedule, which did not include a meeting with Netanyahu" but did not word the denial in such a way as to specifically deny that a meeting took place.
