Israel received failing marks for a western country. The Jewish State has one of the highest number of students in its classrooms, according to the findings of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In a recent report, the OECD statistics show that Israel has an average of 27.6 students in public institutions. Only three other OECD coutries, Korea, Chile and Japan, beat Israel with 31.6, 30.7 and 28.1 students, respectively.
The Russian Federation was the “winner” with only 15.5 students in public schools. Luxemburg was a runner-up with an average of 15.6 students. The United States has an average of 23.6 students, while Britain has 25.8 students learning in its public institutions.
