Lebanese Prime Minister designate Sa'ad Al-Hariri presented his cabinet to President Michel Suleiman on Monday. Ten members of the 30-member government belong to the militant camp associated with the Hizbullah terrorist organization. Fifteen other members are from the Al-Hariri camp, while the other five are from Suleiman's camp. Hizbullah has not given its okay to the proposed cabinet.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said two weeks ago that Israel would hold the Lebanese government responsible for any attack originating in its territory if Hamas is part of the government. Last month, Al-Hariri said Hizbullah would be in the government whether Israel liked it or not because Lebanese national interests require that everyone be a part.
