Leftist Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez has signed a deal to export 20,000 barrels of gasoline per day to Iran. The deal flaunts Western calls to bar Iranian fuel imports if it does not suspend its uranium enrichment program.
Meanwhile, the Mehr news agency, citing a Pakistani diplomat, said that India has exited from a gas pipeline deal it earlier planned with Iran and Pakistan.
