To mark the third anniversary of the second Lebanon War, the Hesder yeshiva in the northern coastal town of Nahariyah has decided to write a new Torah scroll in memory of soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. The two were killed in the Hizbullah attack that set off the war and they were believed to have been held in captivity for over two years before it was found out they had died during the attack.

Ehud Goldwasser’s mother Miki said the writing of the scrolls gives her the feeling of increasing unity within the Jewish people.
