Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to announce in his weekly Cabinet meeting Sunday to approve the construction of several hundred new housing units within Judea and Samaria. The intended approval is in addition to the 2,500 units already being constructed.
U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell will arrive in Israel later this week to summarize several unresolved issues between the U.S. and Israel. Among the issues, Israel will discuss a temporary construction freeze within Judea and Samaria and what it will receive in return from the Palestinian Authority and Arab countries.
