Israel and the United States have reached a partial agreement on Jewish development in Judea and Samaria (Yesha), according to a Thursday report on Channel 2 television. The agreement calls for a nine-month settlement freeze in the area, except for the completion of 2,500 housing units in Yesha already underway and the building of community centers in the region. Under the reported deal, construction in portions of Jerusalem liberated in 1967 will continue.
Israel will reportedly get commercial representation in Gulf states. There was apparently still no agreement on Israel being allowed to use Arab airspace.
