Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that the Jewish people need to deepen their hold on the Land of Israel. Speaking before schoolchildren at Sde Eliyahu, he said: “I was in Berlin last week and we saw the price that we paid when we were without strength and without ability. And here we are, back in our country, our homeland, and it is our duty to deepen our hold upon it and do maintain our independence and defensive ability.”

Irit Milo, who conducted the student orchestra which played for Netanyahu, also gave him a copy of the book which she wrote about her son Nadav who was killed in 1997 in Lebanon.
