Hasidic Tales to Become Part of School Curriculum

For the first time ever, Hasidic stories are to become part of the Israeli high school curriculum. Based on 18th and 19th century Jewish East-European mystical traditions, Hasidic tales often contain moral teachings wrapped up in amusing narratives. The stories will now become a mandatory part of the Israeli high school literature examinations.

Dr. Dina Levin is credited with having the stories included in the school curriculum.
