Former Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Dore Gold, says the recent upheaval in Iran over the fraudulent elections are likely to make the regime more, not less, extreme. Gold made the comments in his new book: The Rise of Nuclear Iran. In the book , Gold says its important for the West not to remove the military option as this makes Iran nervous.
In addition, Gold quotes a senior Iranian leader as saying that thanks to the longtime ongoing negotiations with the West, Iran has managed to buy time to finish its nuclear program. He says US President Barak Obama’s policy of diplomacy with Iran has failed in the past.
