Hamas members fired the mortars that landed near Kibbutz Zikim, north of Gaza, Monday evening, according to a member of an Arab group cited by Ynet. The source said that the missiles were long, improved mortar shells.
The news service reported earlier that Israel was investigating the possiblity that Kassam rockets - and not mortar shells - were used in the attack.
