Security officials in Beirut told Agence France Presse (AFP) that the disputed Kfar Shuba border post held by Israel and claimed by Lebanon was vacated completely Monday morning. The officials said that Israeli troops removed the post last month except for sandbags which remained until Monday’s activities.
Lebanese protesters briefly took over the unmanned post last month and hoisted Lebanese and Hizbullah flags before being removed by U.N. Shortly afterwards, three Israeli tanks approached and soldiers removed the flags.
