An envelope, addressed to leading entertainer Tzvika Hadar, was found in Jerusalem's Givat Shaul post office with a bullet and a threatening letter inside. Dudu Topaz on trial for the beatings of leading Israeli entertainment personalities is suspected of being responsible. Hadar is the MC of Israel’s equivalent of American Idol – Kochav Nolad (A Star is Born). An accompanying unsigned letter contained the message: "This is the end and one day it will culminate in a bomb."
Dudu Topaz, the sixty year old entertainer who dominated Israeli TV for decades, had been distraught at watching his career come to an end and being rejected by the Israel entertainment scene.
