Foreign Minister Avigor Lieberman, has come out against the release of terrorists with "blood on their hands" in exchange for IDF Sgt. Gilad Shalit. The statements by the head of the Yisrael Beiteinu party were reportedly made in closed forums and come in the wake of increasing reports of an expected deal on Shalit.
Shalit was kidnapped over three years ago by Hamas supporters and the group is demanding some 1,400 terrorists in exchange for him, including 450 involved either directly or indirectly in the murder of Jews. Opponents of the deal say it will simply encourage the Hamas to kidnap more IDF soldiers.
