Poll: Jewish Democrats Oppose Obama Israel Policy

A new poll of Jewish supporters of U.S. President Barak Obama reveals that a majority reject his positions on Israel and even support Jewish building in Yesha. According to the poll’s findings, 55% believe the American president is "naive in thinking that the Palestinians would make peace" and that Palestinians "will just use the new land as a base to attack Israel like they did in Gaza." It further showed that 52% of those surveyed believe that Arabs will never live in peace with Israel.

Even more surprising, the poll showed large support amongst Jewish Democrats for continued Jewish building in Yesha with 52% believing Israel should be allowed to build new homes in existing “settlements”. Jewish Democrats also overwhelmingly support Israel in general. 92% of respondents have a favorable view of Israel, and 86% think it is important for Jews to have a country of their own.

The survey was initiated by pollster Dick Morris, a senior advisor to former U.S. President Bill Clinton.
