Border police arrested an Arab resident of eastern Jerusalem on suspicion that he raped a woman after giving her a ride on Route 443 Tuesday. Army Radio described the woman as “Israeli” but did not say if she was Jewish.
The woman provided police with a description of the man’s car and he was arrested near the Atarot roadblock north of Jerusalem.
