A Palestinian Authority Arab was arrested Sunday after police received a report that he had kidnapped a woman in pre-1967 Israel who allegedly had escaped across the PA line.

The 47-year-old Arab said the woman -- reportedly his wife -- had entered the car of her own free will, according to the Hebrew-language Yediot Acharonot. He was caught in central Israel as he and a second suspect were driving with the woman toward PA territory. Witnesses said he had forced the woman into the car.
