Labor party leader and Defense Minister Ehud Barak delivered a strong message of hope for the future in his address to the party's Central Committee Wednesday evening, telling participants, "There is life in the Labor party. Let's roll up our sleeves. It is within our power to return Labor to leading the country."

The Defense Minister added that he planned on seeing Labor win the next national election "out of will power and the correct way. No one will teach us what it means to be committed to the State. The party lives," he insisted.
