The Saudi Arabian monarch is attempting once again to mediate between the rival Palestinian Authority factions. King Abdullah said in a cable sent Tuesday to PA Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas that the disputes between the factions' supporters have done more harm than decades of what he referred to as "Israeli aggression," according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency. 

 The monarch added that at present it would be impossible to create a PA state, even if the entire world were to unite in support of the effort, due to the current divisions in PA society.
