An eastern-Jerusalem woman who was admitted to Hadassah Ein-Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem in very serious condition from swine flu Wednesday gave birth to a girl Thursday afternoon in a caesarean section operation. The girl, born in the 30th week of pregnancy, was listed in good condition. Doctors say they can also give more aggressive treatment to the mother, who was returned to the intensive care unit under anesthesia and respiration.

A 50-year-old woman from Hadar in central Israel was diagnosed in serious condition with the H1N1 virus at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba after suffering from complications from pneumonia. A 62-year-old woman from southern Israel was admitted in serious condition from swine flu to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva.
