Russia is wary of Israel’s alleged choice for Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Reuven Dinel, claiming he worked for the Mossad at the Israeli embassy in Moscow until he was expelled from the country in 1996.

Dinel, according to Russian sources, was “responsible for coordinating the work of Israeli intelligence agents with the secret services of Russia.” Israel’s embassy in Turkmenistan will be its closest to Iran, only 32 kilometers away from the border.
