By a vote of 47-12, the Knesset voted Monday to extend Israel's citizenship law by a year. Under that law, residents of hostile Arab entities are not eligible to become Israeli citizens through marriage.
An exception has been made where it can be proven that a marriage serves the purpose of family reunification.
