      "Mofaz Law" Passes First Reading

By a vote of 62-47, the Knesset on Monday evening passed a bill that would make it easier for Knesset factions to break up. The bill has been called the "Mofaz Law" because it could pave the way for former minister Shaul Mofaz to leave Kadima and return to Likud.

Members of Kadima wore air-pollution masks as a protest before they were removed by temporary speaker Alex Miller, who replaced Reuven Rivlin, who was absent in protest.
