Kadima and the predominantly-Arab Hadash party filed motions saying that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's style of government threatened democracy. The Ra'am-Ta'al United Arab List pressed for the release of Arab security prisoners, while the Balad Arab party cited the government for Jewish construction in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem. The leftist Meretz party accused the government of abandoning public education.
