The ruling coalition easily survived five motions of no confidence filed by all the opposition parties except for the National Union on Monday.

Kadima and the predominantly-Arab Hadash party filed motions saying that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's style of government threatened democracy. The Ra'am-Ta'al United Arab List pressed for the release of Arab security prisoners, while the Balad Arab party cited the government for Jewish construction in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem. The leftist Meretz party accused the government of abandoning public education.
