Judea and Samaria Population Passes 300,000
For the first time, the Jewish population in Judea and Samaria has passed 300,000, according to a Civil Administration report for the first half of 2009. The Jewish population of Yesha as of the end of June 2009 was 304,569 as compared to the population at the end of 2008 of 297,745.
According to the report, the population in Yesha grew by 2.29 percent during the period, three times greater than the rate in the rest of Israel. In addition, the population living in outposts grew by 4.4 percent during the period.
