The shekel-dollar exchange rate fell 0.46 percent to NIS 3.868 and the shekel-euro rate dropped 0.12 percent to NIS 5.5098 in commercial trading Thursday morning. The representative shekel-dollar exchange rate was set by the Bank of Israel Wednesday at NIS 3.886/$, 0.051 percent lower than the day before, and the shekel-euro representative exchange rate was set at NIS 5.5164/€, 0.215 percent lower than the day before, Globes reported.
On Monday, Governor of the Bank of Israel Stanley Fischer is expected to decide on the interest rate for August. It is assumed that he will leave the interest rate at its historic low of 0.5 percent.
