In a speech to the Knesset Wednesday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu hinted at covert intelligence Israel has regarding Hamas and Hizbullah assistance to Iran in its subjugation of dissent after recent elections there. The exposure of the brutality of the Iranian regime in the last two months, Netanyahu explained, is an event of far-reaching consequences for the Middle East.



Detailing the main points of his government's policies and positions at the request of 40 opposition Knesset members,



Netanyahu said that the greatest security challenge on the world stage today is the Iranian threat. However, he continued, "something occurred that is to my mind of great long-term significance, which is the exposure of the true face of the Iranian regime, a brutal regime, which oppresses the Iranian people."
