Colombian Vice President Francisco Santos Calderon arrived in Israel on a five-day official visit on Friday as part of a Middle East tour. During his visit he met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Lieberman. He is also scheduled to meet with President Shimon Peres, along with other government officials.
The visit will focus on the good bilateral relationship between the two countries and cooperation in the fields of security and technology. Vice President Calderon will also visit the Colombian regiment stationed with the Multi-National Force in Sinai.
