A psychiatric examination of the hareidi mother accused of starving her son was apparently put off until Tuesday by the Jerusalem Magistrates Court on Sunday. The woman was supposed to have been examined on Sunday, under terms of her release to house arrest on Friday, but, according to her attorney, the psychiatrist who came to administer the exam postponed it because of her condition.
Court President Shlomit Dotan was going to schedule the exam for Monday, but delayed a decision when the rabbi, in whose house the woman is staying, could not attend, due to personal reasons. Justice Dotan accepted a request by the mother's attorneys that the decision on the examination not be made until the rabbi gives his input.
