The Bank of Israel reported on Sunday that its index of leading economic indicators rose two tenths of a percent in June, the first time the index has risen since July 2008. In a news release accompanying the statistics, the bank said it's too early to estimate if this represents a turning point for business.
The positive part of the index was comprised of import and export data. The other indicators declined.
