The Ministerial Committee on Legislation delayed discussion on Sunday of a bill by MK Danny Danon (Likud) that would have banned visits to Arab security prisoners held by Israel until abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit is released. The measure would allow visits by attorneys or representatives of the Red Cross.
Danon reacted to the delay by saying, "Israel's hesitancy and lack of confidence weaken our stance against Hamas." He added, "I intend to continue to advance the bill."
