American nerve to increase pressure against Jewish construction in Jerusalem is only possible because Israeli politicians agree to discuss the issue, MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) said on Sunday. “Anyone who agrees to give someone from outside of Israel the right to offer an opinion on Yesha building will also consent to constrictions on Jerusalem construction. The United States has told Israel to stop a building project in Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. Israel's ambassador in Washington Michael Oren was summoned to the State Department last week to discuss opposition to the project.
