Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said Saturday that the United States must come up with a new plan for Israel-PA peace that would include a timetable for application. In a speech in Kalandia, north of Jerusalem, he pushed for a plan “that will contribute to put an end to Jewish settlements and Israeli offensives.”
Fayyad has called for Jewish cities in Judea and Samaria to be frozen at their current size and ultimately removed from the area. Despite this, he also promised recently that if a PA-controlled Arab state were to be formed in Judea and Samaria, Jews would be allowed to live there.
