The Palestinian Authority has decided to allow the pan-Arab Al-Jazeera network to resume broadcasting from PA-controlled regions of Judea and Samaria. Earlier in the week the PA shut down Al-Jazeera stations, accusing the channel of anti-PA bias.
The move was thought to be linked to a report in which a senior Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) member accused PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of murdering former chairman Yasser Arafat. Al-Jazeera was one of several Arab stations to air the report.
