(IsraelNN.com) Members of Knesset called Saturday night for the IDF to probe reports of hazing in one of its units. MK Yoel Hasson, head of the State Comptrollers Committee, said he would ask State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss to conduct an investigation.

According to the Hebrew-language daily Yediot Aharonot, soldiers in an IDF armored corps troops were repeatedly beaten during a ceremony, causing several to suffer extensive scratching and bruising. Soldiers told the paper that the beatings were initiated by squad commanders, and overlooked by the company commander.
