Villagers in southern Lebanon prevented United Nations forces from investigating a suspicious blast in the area, according to the Jerusalem Post. The incident occurred Saturday, as UNIFIL troops attempted to explore the site of an explosion near the Israeli border on Tuesday.
Israeli officials raised concerns that the blast was a sign of Hizbullah terrorist activities in the area. The UNIFIL troops have been charged with enforcing the resolutions that ended the Second Lebanon War, including the cessation of Hizbullah activities in Lebanon's south.
