The defacto Hamas government in Gaza has made a full-length feature movie, which was released Friday at the Islamic University in Gaza City. The film tells the story of Emad Akel, a Hamas commander who killed 11 Israeli soldiers, one Israeli civilian, and four Arab civilians before dying in a shootout with IDF troops in 1993.
Hamas' goal was “to make quality art that is Islamic and about the resistance,” said senior Hamas member Fathi Hamad. The script was written by arch-terrorist Mahmoud a-Zahar.
