Lebanese Town Concerned Over Israeli 'Cow Incursions'

A Lebanese town is up in arms over "incursions" by Israelis into Lebanese territory. Not by soldiers – but by cows. According to a Beirut newspaper, officials in Kfar Shuba are concerned that Israeli cows, guided by herdsmen, are drinking too much water from a local reservoir.

Town officials are drafting a letter to be sent to commanders of UNIFIL forces in south Lebanon, demanding that the UN group do something to stop the Israeli "bovine invasion." According to one resident quoted in the story, "There's barely enough water for me and my fellow Lebanese shepherds and each Israeli cow drinks more than 40 of our goats put together. Why doesn't UNIFIL consider this as an violation of the Blue Line?"
