Chief Military Prosecutor Avichai Mandelblit said Thursday that bullets for the 22-caliber Ruger rifle, also known as Tottos, are not appropriate for crowd control. The army has been using the ammunition in recent months and the B'Tselem organization - which predominantly champions Arab rights in Judea and Samaria - says two Arabs have been killed by the bullets during that time.
In a letter to B'Tselem, Mandelblit said the army is taking serious steps agains the use of the bullets, as it has against the use of other arms.
