Mayors David Buskila of Sderot and Yonah Yahav of Haifa were elected by the Kadima party Thursday to be vice chairmen of the party's central committee.
As expected, former Vice Premier Chaim Ramon was elected chairman of the committee. A Kadima rule barring the committee chairman from serving in the Knesset dictated Ramon's resignation from the Knesset last week.
