Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said Wednesday that Hamas has not changed its demands for Gilad Shalit and wants 1,000 terrorists released in exchange for the kidnapped soldier. Israel has refused to meet Hamas’ demands on the issue.
“There has been no new thing on Gilad Shalit’s case and the ball is in Israel’s court,” Zuhri said. “Hamas is still sticking to the conditions it outlined to accomplish a prisoner exchange.”
