The Knesset opposition successfully defeated a coalition law proposal for the first time on Tuesday when it defeated the Movie bill, which would have approved 67 million shekels in funding for the film industry.
Kadima claimed that the defeat showed that the coalition was not properly running the government, but the Likud claimed that Kadima’s opposition to cultural bills showed it wasn’t being a responsible opposition.
