Iran: Moussavi May Create Political Party

Iranian opposition leader Mir-Hossein Moussavi signalled Monday that he might start a political party as a way of continuing his fight against what he called a government whose legitimacy is in doubt. Writing on an opposition internet site, Moussavi said people don't have confidence in it, which weakens the government from inside, even if it is able to keep up appearances.

Moussavi accepted the fact that the demonstrations that followed the June 12th presidential elections did not achieve their aim of new elections in the wake of the disputed results but said that did not make a difference in the need to continue the fight
