Netanyahu Backing Off VAT on Fruits and Vegetables

(IsraelNN.com) Sources in the Finance Ministry said Monday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was backing off imposing the VAT tax on Fruits and Vegetables.
Many had protested the move, which would tax even the poorest Israelis, and the Finance Ministry had previously considered a compromise to reduce the tax.
