Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces in Judea and Samaria are arresting and torturing women because of their affiliation with Hamas, spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum claimed on Saturday. He warned of continuous arrest sweeps and called for ending such politically motivated actions "once and for all," according to Ma’an news.

Barhoum called on human rights organizations and Egyptian officials to intervene to release the prisoners, and said that the fate of the PA national dialogue is linked with the conduct of the Fatah movement. Focusing on the dialogue should come above all financial and security needs, he said.
